With this piece I was trying to solve a problem I encountered whilst making.
Namely, that important meaning-making actions get lost in the final, static object. This demonstrates that meaning-making in artistic practice is active and performative. I tried to rescue the action by recreating it in the piece. The action I refer to is the transferring of a grid to a convex surface.
Praxis 'is the process by which a theory, lesson, or skill is enacted, embodied, or realized. "Praxis" may also refer to the act of engaging, applying, exercising, realizing, or practicing ideas.' (from the wikipedia entry)
